Launching The Foundry: from brand strategy to opening day

Overview

The Foundry is a coaching-first performance club in Islamabad. Its founding team held a clear conviction — that gyms in the city sold access rather than outcomes — but had no name, brand, pricing, or route to market.

We partnered with The Foundry to take the business from founding brief to opening day. Over twelve weeks, we developed the brand strategy and identity, built the website, designed the pricing architecture, and put in place the social media system that carried the launch.

Problem

The Foundry was entering a market where premium fitness was sold on square footage and equipment lists, and where personal training was an upsell rather than a method. The Foundry's proposition was the opposite: no open floor, every session coached, and progress measured against each member's own program. The challenge was to make an unfamiliar model legible and desirable to a high-income audience before the doors opened, and to price it so that a deliberately capped membership could sustain the business.

Solution

Our approach to launching The Foundry was based on four pillars:

  • Defining a brand strategy that turns a coaching method into a premium identity
  • Building a website that explains the model and converts interest into assessments
  • Designing a pricing architecture around coaching capacity rather than access
  • Installing an AI-assisted social media system to carry the launch and beyond

Generative AI ran through the strategy work: category research across local and global performance studios, positioning and naming exploration, and modeling of pricing scenarios and unit economics, with our consultants directing the analysis and owning the recommendations. The website was built on Lovable, an AI development platform, with an AI assistant handling first-line inquiries.

Pricing was the central strategic decision. We structured the offer as a coaching product rather than a membership, built around a hero semi-private package and a private coaching anchor, with launch incentives designed to protect peak-hour pricing. Social content runs through an AI-directed production system built on the brand’s design templates, so a small team can publish consistently from day one.

Impact

The Foundry opened with its commercial foundation already in place: a brand that expresses its method, a website that sells the assessment rather than a membership, a pricing model built on the economics of coached pods, and a content engine running from the first week. The founding team operates a premium, capacity-capped club from one coherent system rather than assembling it after launch.
